There is nothing quite like turning off the A40, whether escaping London, or a nearby town and dropping down into Burford, it's like another world.
If you have never visited Burford, it catches you by surprise, it's one of those visions you always remember. In my opinion it's one of the most wonderful views looking down such a historic High Street, with a backdrop of perfect rolling hills.
The Highway, our truly delightful Burford hotel, is central, amongst buildings all unique, everywhere you look there is a picture to paint. Mooch around the individually owned businesses, boutiques & antique shops. There is a free Museum and an excellent visitors' centre.
From Burford, Oxford and Cheltenham are both 20 miles away, either way. There is Bibury just up the road, and The Cotswold Wildlife Park 5 minutes away.
